Video Premiere: EDIE - Front Row

With her new love anthem out just in time for Valentines day, be the first to watch its captivating visual accompaniment

Inspired by 90s pop-rock, fandoms of yesteryear, and film soundtracks is the infectious punk-tinged sounds of Boorloo/Perth based singer-songwriter-producer EDIE. Releasing her debut Blame Me last year, already receiving support from triple J Unearthed, and amassing over 3,100 followers on TikTok, she unveils her latest single titled: Front Row today.

Co-written with West Australian Music Award winning artist Finn Pearson, mixed by Andy Lawson (End Of Fashion, Tired Lion, Eskimo Joe), and produced by Dylan Ollivierre (Holy Holy, Tia Gostelow, Meg Mac), it is no surprise that Front Row is an anthemic track that has been polished to pop perfection - with all the sizzling riffs and catchy hooks to back it up. Behind the songs meaning EDIE shares “Through the track ‘Front Row,’ I explore themes of fixation, love, and obsession. The song shines a light on the dynamic of a parasocial relationship and its all-encompassing nature. The track conveys the power of the mind to create a fully realized fantasy relationship about an individual who is not even aware of your existence. From personal experience I know this can happen to the best of us!”

Following her creative vision and linking into the 90’s film & rom-com influences, Front Row has been treated to a stunning music video directed by Stephanie Senior that follows EDIE’s narrative of being “his figure in the front row”. With dreamy montage-style shots set to this already captivating track, be sure to take a listen and watch through as the clip premieres today, right here on Pilerats.
